Interconnection Manager Compensation:
$120,000 - $135,000 + bonusLocation:
Remote -United States Travel:
Limited to moderate travel depending on project activity and utility coordinationOffice:
Remote Reports to:Development Leadership Team Role and Responsibilities:
• Own grid connectivity strategy for a portfolio of distributed infrastructure projects across several regional markets Assess service territory constraints, upgrade exposure, timing considerations, and overall feasibility when evaluating new project opportunities Lead coordination efforts with electric utilities and external engineering groups from initial application through energization Oversee queue activity, study progression, milestone tracking, and utility deliverables across active development assets Support early-stage technical design decisions tied to grid access requirements and evolving project configurations Work closely with internal development, real estate, engineering, and construction teams to maintain project schedules and reduce execution risk Review technical findings, utility feedback, and study assumptions to help guide commercial and development strategy Participate in negotiations tied to utility requirements, upgrade responsibilities, and project execution terms Stay informed on evolving market rules, tariff structures, and regional policy changes that could impact project timelines or economics Evaluate grid-related risks during acquisition and pipeline review activitiesRequirements:
Background supporting grid connection, utility coordination, or electrical infrastructure execution within the energy industry Familiarity with how utilities review and process new generation or distributed energy projects Ability to manage multiple active workstreams, external stakeholders, and time-sensitive deliverables simultaneously Comfortable reviewing technical information and translating it into practical development or commercial considerations Strong communication skills with the ability to operate cross-functionally in a lean, fast-moving environment Exposure to distributed energy assets such as storage, solar, EV infrastructure, or other behind-the-meter generation solutions is preferred Experience working within organized power markets or utility territories across major U.S. regions is beneficial (IND2020)Similar remote jobs
