Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm
Overtime:
Not required; limited OT available Hybrid schedule: typically, 2 days onsite per week Light travel required (2-3 days/month for commissioning/site visits)

Overview We are seeking a Metering & Controls Engineer to support substation-level revenue metering projects (12kV and above), focusing on large customer interconnections, renewable energy projects, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role sits within the Controls Engineering group and was created due to increased demand from interconnection and clean energy initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and implement revenue metering solutions for utility interconnection and large customer projects Support renewable energy and
DER/BESS
interconnections Develop metering philosophy documents, schematics, and SCADA-related drawings Configure meters, perform loss compensation settings, and support testing/calibration activities Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and field/site visits Serve as a technical SME for complex metering and billing scenarios Collaborate with project teams, customers, meter shops, and engineering groups Required Qualifications Engineer II Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related applied science discipline 2+ years of engineering experience Engineer III Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related applied science discipline 5+ years of engineering experience Senior Engineer Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related applied science discipline 8+ years of engineering experience Required Experience Hands-on experience with utility metering systems and revenue metering Experience with meter configuration, testing, and commissioning Knowledge of utility metering compliance and regulatory standards Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance Preferred Qualifications Utility industry experience Experience with substations, interconnections, or large customer metering SCADA systems and metering schematic experience Schneider PowerLogic / ION platform experience Renewable energy or DER interconnection experience PE license preferred Additional Details Candidates must pass background check and drug screening Clean driving record required (APS vehicle use required)
