Job Overview Zenith Aerotech is seeking a highly motivated and versatile UAS Pilot (Part 107) & Test Specialist to join our team developing advanced tethered drone systems. This role combines hands-on flight operations with structured testing and validation activities, supporting both indoor and outdoor test campaigns. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable piloting drones in real-world conditions and executing disciplined test procedures to evaluate flight performance, payload integration, and overall system reliability. Duties Conduct safe and compliant UAS flight operations under FAA Part 107 regulations Execute flight tests to evaluate system performance, stability, and reliability Plan and perform test campaigns for payloads and integrated systems Collect, document, and analyze flight and test data Support both indoor lab testing and outdoor field operations Collaborate with engineering teams to identify issues and drive improvements Maintain test logs, reports, and standard operating procedures Assist in system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting Requirements FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required) Minimum 3 years of hands-on UAS piloting experience Strong understanding of drone flight dynamics and safety procedures Experience conducting structured testing and documenting results Ability to work in both field and lab environments Work authorization in the US Preferred Qualifications Experience with Pixhawk, Cube, ArduPilot, or PX4 flight control systems Familiarity with RF communication systems and telemetry links FPV drone piloting experience Background in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics , or related engineering fields Experience with payload integration and performance testing Join us in pushing the boundaries of unmanned aviation technology!
