Boeing Global Services is seeking a Product Support Operations Manager (Retrofit, Repair, Mod & Maint) T his position will support the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) program. The GMD system is operationally capable to defend the homeland against long-range ballistic missile attacks. Travel will be required to Vandenberg, CA on a quarterly basis. Position is in Fort Greely, AK . Position responsibilities Manages employees performing customer support, logistics, technical, retrofit, repair, modification and maintenance activities within Product Support. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership." 5+ years of experience in systems deployment and logistics/sustainment processes 5+ years of experience working on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program 5+ years of experience in Service Engineering, Field Service, Maintenance Engineering, or Customer/Logistics Support 3+ years of experience preparing and presenting to executives, senior leadership, and external customers W illing and able to travel up to 25% domestically Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience): Degree - any Formal process improvement certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Prior experience as the technical authority, subject matter expert, or direct field/technical supervisor Program or project management cert Familiar with Boeing management and HR systems
