Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to drive disciplined execution and technical excellence across complex engineering programs. This role translates strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring predictable delivery, strong engineering rigor, and continuous organizational improvement. Key Responsibilities Convert strategic goals into clear priorities, milestones, and execution plans Lead engineering execution to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets Apply strong technical judgment to guide design decisions and resolve complex issues Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies Establish and monitor KPIs for delivery, quality, and productivity Improve engineering workflows, governance, and cross-functional collaboration Communicate status, risks, and priorities to executive leadership and stakeholders Manage staffing, resource allocation, and tradeoff decisions in constrained environments Develop engineering managers and technical leaders; drive accountability and performance Foster a high-performing culture built on trust, clarity, and continuous improvement Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred) 12+ years of engineering experience in production and/or defense environments Strong foundation in engineering principles with a data-driven, first-principles approach Proven leadership experience managing managers and delivering results through teams Demonstrated ability to balance technical rigor with execution speed and business priorities Preferred Attributes Experience aligning engineering execution with broader organizational strategy Ability to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements Track record of improving operational efficiency and engineering performance Strong communication skills in executive-level and customer-facing engagements Experience building and retaining high-performing engineering teams Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
