Business Unit Manager - Water / WastewaterChandler, AZWe are a very large contractor with over 15 years of established work in the Phoenix Valley. We do large jobs on megaprojects throughout the region, mostly industrial in nature (semiconductor, data center, large manufacturing, nuclear, water treatment, mining, etc.). We have over 30 billion in backlog nationally, and are growing immensely.

Looking for a Business Unit Manager with a Water/Wastewater construction background. We selfpeform work on these projects, especially on the electrical front. Experience with structural/misc metals, coatings, and process piping would be a huge plus.

Please apply today if interestedPay - 150k-200kPosition OverviewLead and grow a multidisciplinary business unit focused on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overall P&L performance, delivery of construction and electrical scope, client satisfaction, safety and quality compliance, and strategic development of the units project pipeline. The Business Unit Manager will manage project execution from estimate through commissioning, coordinate cross-functional teams, and pursue business development opportunities to expand market share.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwn P&L, prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and financial performance for the business unit.

Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the water/wastewater portfolio, including business development and client relationship management.

Lead estimating, bidding and contract negotiation for construction, electrical and allied works to secure profitable projects.

Manage full project lifecycle delivery: planning, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and closeout, ensuring on-time, on-budget performance.

Oversee multidisciplinary teams including project managers, site superintendents, electrical and mechanical trades, and subcontractors.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards (OSHA, local regulations), and promote a strong safety culture across projects.

Coordinate technical scope across Water/Wastewater, Electrical, Coatings, Misc Metals, Structural Steel and Process Piping disciplines to ensure integrated project execution.

Implement and maintain QA/QC processes, progress reporting, schedule management and risk mitigation strategies.

Approve resource allocation, staffing plans and subcontractor strategies; mentor and develop team members.

Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and public forums to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.

QualificationsProgressive experience in water and wastewater construction or infrastructure projects, including leadership or management roles.

Demonstrated experience with electrical systems in industrial or municipal water/wastewater facilities.

Proven track record managing P&L, budgets, scheduling and commercial aspects of construction projects.

Strong knowledge of codes and standards relevant to water/wastewater and electrical systems (AWWA, NEC, NEMA, local building codes) and regulatory compliance.

Hands-on experience coordinating or delivering coatings, miscellaneous metals, structural steel and process piping scopes is highly desirable.

Excellent leadership, communication and client relationship skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Proficient in project management and estimating tools; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Committed to safety with relevant training (OSHA, confined space, lockout/tagout) and experience implementing safety programs on construction sites.

Willingness to travel to project sites and valid drivers license.
