AWS is seeking a Power Generation Engineer and Subject-Matter-Expert to become part of a AMER's Amazon Commissioning (ACx) team, responsible for the commissioning and continuous innovation of the Medium Voltage and High Voltage infrastructure associated with our rapidly expanding data center footprint. Successful candidates shall be willing to travel up to 80% and be based out of a West Region hub (SEA, PDX, DFW, DEN, IAH, HOU, PHX, AUS). The responsibilities of this technical leader include, but are not limited to, oversight and coordination of multi-discipline division of work related to pre-commissioning and commissioning of Amazon critical infrastructure construction and special projects. They will be responsible for managing and supporting external suppliers, providing multi-discipline input into the scheduling, design and planning of projects to contractors and other internal stakeholder teams involved. Systems include low- medium
- and high-voltage power systems, Generators, UPS, HVAC, EPMS and AWS proprietary systems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance Experience in vendor management, or experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings High technical competency in electrical systems and understanding the design concept and intent by reviewing electrical design documentation, including drawings, specifications, pre-functional checklist, startup and functional test scripts, maintainability, construct-ability and commission-ability. vendor submittals and sequences of operations and provide feedback on the same in accordance with Amazon standards for basis of designPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
