The Project manager is the primary contact and manages projects from start to finish, including material procurement, subcontracts, submittals, scheduling, RFI's, cost tracking, budget/cost code reports, change orders, and project closeout. KeyRESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires a strong understanding of public works construction methods, attention to detail, data analysis, the ability to prioritize and execute, problem solve, and have excellent documentation skills, and good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all project team members. Work with the project superintendent, establishing, maintaining, and managing customer/owner, and subcontractor expectations Attend meetings including pre-construction, project, and staff meetings Monitor and track quantities on completed work and prepare monthly billing invoices Review pay estimates with owner Verify and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers Prepare and update project schedule Process change orders Communicate effectively progress/problems to senior management, field superintendent/foreman, subcontractor, and owner Manage all aspects related to the execution of the project including safety, quality control and project integrity Review and provide accurate project costs and forecasting Manage assigned office and project engineers, including training and developmentPREFERED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience within a heavy civil construction or engineering firm is preferred B.S.
