You will drive the technical strategy for power distribution and system architecture, ensuring our hardware meets rigorous performance and safety benchmarks while enabling seamless integration across complex electromechanical platforms. Responsibilities Architect and document comprehensive electrical schematics, panel layouts, and detailed bills of materials using industry-standard CAD software. Ensure all designs strictly adhere to NEC and UL 508A regulatory requirements to guarantee operational safety and compliance. Optimize power conversion and distribution systems, including the selection of drives, transformers, and circuit protection devices for high-voltage environments. Direct the fabrication process by coordinating with external manufacturing partners to ensure design intent is accurately executed. Execute and supervise high-voltage validation testing, including hipot and insulation resistance assessments, to confirm system integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to solve thermal management challenges and optimize enclosure integration. Proactively identify system risks through DFMEA processes to enhance product reliability and long-term performance. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant design experience. Advanced proficiency in EPLAN or similar electrical design platforms. Proven track record of designing systems compliant with NEC and UL 508A standards. Deep technical knowledge of high-voltage safety protocols and power system coordination. Experience managing the full product lifecycle using PLM and requirements management tools like Jama or Teamcenter. Preferred Skills Direct experience with UL 508A certification processes and panel shop operations. Expertise in arc flash analysis and
NFPA 70E
safety standards. Background in energy storage, industrial automation, or EV infrastructure sectors. Proficiency in simulation software such as ETAP for branch protection analysis.
