Job Description

We are looking for an experienced leader to direct the planning and delivery of a growing portfolio of AI-focused data center projects in Southern California. This role will guide project execution from early coordination through construction, commissioning, and handoff to operations while building consistent standards across teams and partners. The position is ideal for someone who combines strong program leadership with practical knowledge of mission-critical facilities and can drive results across multiple high-priority initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct multiple data center programs at once, ensuring each project progresses against approved timelines, financial targets, and delivery commitments.
  • Recruit, mentor, and oversee project managers, setting clear ownership for individual sites and strengthening overall team performance.
  • Create and enforce portfolio-wide methods for planning, risk review, budget control, reporting, and management of project changes.
  • Lead oversight of contractors, design firms, vendors, and specialty consultants to maintain accountability for quality, cost, and schedule outcomes.
  • Coordinate interdependent activities across design development, permitting, utility interfaces, construction sequencing, equipment delivery, and startup readiness.
  • Drive corrective action when milestones are at risk by developing recovery strategies and aligning stakeholders on execution priorities.
  • Review project spending, assess change requests, and maintain disciplined approval and documentation practices across the portfolio.
  • Manage the prioritization and coordination of long-lead equipment purchases to support construction and commissioning schedules.
  • Support final testing, commissioning preparation, and the transition of completed facilities to operational teams.
  • Communicate delivery forecasts, portfolio risks, and recommended decisions to executive leadership and financial stakeholders.
