This role drives portfolio planning, operational coordination, and program execution across Tesla's lab portfolio, partnering with business leaders and cross-functional teams to translate evolving space and infrastructure needs into actionable plans. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. What You'll Do Own portfolio planning and program management for Tesla's lab spaces, maintaining visibility across current and future demand, active projects, and longer-term requirements Partner with business and engineering stakeholders to understand lab requirements, headcount growth, space needs, timing, and business priorities Develop and maintain headcount, demand, capacity, and space forecasts to support short- and long-term portfolio planning Maintain portfolio-level project tracking across schedules, milestones, budgets, approvals, dependencies, risks, and overall project health Coordinate with Workplace, Design Management, Construction Management, Facilities, Finance, Global Supply Management, and other cross-functional partners throughout project planning and execution Facilitate recurring lab portfolio reviews and cross-functional triage meetings to review priorities, resolve blockers, identify risks, and drive decisions Develop portfolio dashboards, reports, and leadership updates that provide clear visibility into demand, capacity, project status, risks, budget, and upcoming decisions What You'll Bring Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in program management, portfolio planning, workplace, facilities, infrastructure, construction, operations, or a related field Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programs involving complex cross-functional stakeholders Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and recommendations Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business, engineering, finance, procurement, design, construction, and facilities teams Ability to identify risks, drive decisions, and move programs forward with limited direction in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and project/program management tools Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $96,800 - $336,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
