Role :
CALSTART's Midwest and San Joaquin Valley (SJV) Regional Offices are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to support their Clean Ports projects and broader SJV office initiatives. This internship will provide the opportunity for an individual to gain experience in a growing industry in two distinct environments
•the Midwest and California's SJV
•and will help with the development of project management, research, and stakeholder engagement skills.
What You Will Do:
Assist in researching emerging fuel types in the medium
•and heavy-duty transportation space and create internal memos to communicate the findings Support data collection outreach to operators within the Midwest Regional Office Clean Ports project Conduct research on environmental conditions within the Midwest Regional Office Clean Ports project area to help inform resiliency considerations Develop community engagement strategies for the Midwest Regional Office Clean Ports project Support execution of the SJV Clean Ports project Contribute to statewide strategy development in California Assist with the execution of broader SJV regional office tasks What You Bring to the
Table:
Undergraduate or graduate student with a focus in transportation planning, environmental planning, community/regional planning, or related field Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and balance multiple tasks Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, Point, etc.) Knowledge of zero-emission medium
•and heavy-duty vehicles, transportation electrification, charging infrastructure, or energy systems Interest in working in regional environments and engaging with stakeholders $19
