Pay Range:

$98.77/hr. to $111.73/hr. on W2

Shift:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

C. Bachelor's Degree. Day-to-Day Responsibilities /

Workload:

Technical Leadership:

Lead civil engineering efforts across all project phases—scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, and construction support.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams (project management, construction, environmental, real estate) and external agencies.

Field Engagement:

Conduct job walks and provide engineering construction support across diverse geographical areas for Transmission, Substation and Distribution facilities. Can be 1-2 field days per week based on business need.

Contractor Oversight:

Manage civil engineering consultants—define Products, review proposals, ensure quality, and maintain schedules.

Quality Assurance:

Perform QA for consultant deliverables, peer reviews, manage purchase orders, and approve invoices.

Permitting & Compliance:

Secure necessary permits and approvals from local jurisdiction agencies for civil engineering Product and work with business partners to support state, federal and other agency approvals.

Project Management:

Balance multiple project schedules, provide technical leadership for civil engineering Product, monitor budgets and provide proactive communication with key stakeholders.

Safety:

Embed safety into engineering designs and promote a safety-first culture both in the office and on-site. Required Skills /

Attributes:

Experienced in land development for electrical substation facilities and transmission access in varied terrain. Familiarity with road and highway design. Familiarity with storm damage response and mitigation. Skilled in contractor management and purchase order oversight. Knowledge of California permitting processes. Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Experience with ArcGIS.
