You'll drive research of performance optimization opportunities, and long-term strategy for regression defense and architecture improvements. Your work will directly influence company-level goals around monetization, engagement and retention. This role is based at Roblox HQ in San Mateo, CA (no remote option).

You Will:

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team. Support engineers, ranging from junior to senior, in their development. Foster a team culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence; while getting things done. Define and execute the product and technical strategy for performance improvements and regression defense across all supported platforms Own the team's mission and outcomes. Work with stakeholders to define the team's roadmap, and ensure execution. Partner with PM, Data, and stakeholders across Roblox, to identify opportunities, analyze impact, create novel solutions and establish processes aimed to improve application performance.

You Have:

2+ years of experience as an engineering manager or tech lead manager. 8+ years of experience building large client applications with a deep technical expertise in at least one of the client platforms

• Android, iOS, Windows, or MacOS Excellence in collaborating with others, and in developing software engineers.

You have demonstrated outcomes of facilitating team success and leading by example. A proven track record of technical delivery in high-scale environments with complex constraints Experience solving difficult problems involving both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders

The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
