An Engineering Program Manager provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies.

Basic Qualifications:
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or older Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Degree concentration(s) in one of the following areas: Engineering, project delivery, or construction: Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Construction, Environmental, or Systems Engineering; Construction Management; Architecture; Design and Drafting Technology; or Engineering Technology Digital, data, andAI:
Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field Environment, health, and safety: Environmental or Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Public Health, Toxicology, Nursing, Biomechanics/Ergonomics, or a related field Interest in applying engineering principles, data, AI, automation, and continuous-improvement methods to support project justification, design, development, capital planning, safety, or operational excellence Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Exposure to data analysis, visualization, Python, SQL, Power BI, BIM/Revit, automation, or generative AI tools are preferred Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage time effectively, work independently when needed, and collaborate in a matrixed environment Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and ability to translate technical information into clear recommendations What You Can Expect of Us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
