We are seeking a Director of Strategic Technology Partnerships and Alliances to join our fast-growing, collaborative team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, energetic, and able to thrive in a high-growth, innovative environment, contributing directly to technologies that are shaping the future of power electronics. The Director of Strategic Technology Partnerships and Alliances position represents a high-level strategic leadership position within the office of the CTO combining semiconductor R D expertise with outreach, development and alliance management. The director will act as a bridge between external manufacturing partners (foundries, materials), internal engineering teams and academic/research institution partners, specifically focusing on Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) technologies and systems
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic Foundry/Material Partnerships:
Manage relationships with key foundries to develop next-gen Wide Bandgap (WBG) technology roadmaps, including SiC and GaN, from concept to high-volume production. This involves collaborating on epi/device/process architecture, yield engineering, and high-performance packaging.
Academic and Research Collaboration:
Engage with university and research institutions in the US and abroad to foster innovation, talent development, and foundational research in WBG materials. India Team Leadership (SiC/GaN): Build, lead, and expand a specialized India-based team of technologists and next-gen system solution architects. This involves mentoring and scaling the R D team to support design and commercialization.
Technology Development:
Lead efforts in developing GaN/SiC-specific reliability models, test methods, and TCAD simulations for product verification.
Go-to-Market Strategy:
Work with internal Business Units and marketing teams to align technology development with business goals, accelerating adoption of SiC/GaN in applications such as AI data centers and renewable energy.
System Solutions:
Work with internal applications teams and external partners/customers to create the next-generation system solution roadmaps based for SiC and GaN technologies. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAO's) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent technical communication and negotiation abilities Comfortable working across cultures and global time zones Strong knowledge of power SiC and GaN design and fabrication methodologies Adequate knowledge of power SiC and GaN 100 V/650 V epitaxy Familiarity with power manufacturing eco-system including vendors and OSATs Experience with high-voltage and high-reliability applications Leading by example Required Qualifications Ph.D. or Master's in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science focusing on semiconductor device physics. 10+ years of experience in semiconductor R D or strategic partnerships, with deep expertise in SiC and GaN power devices. Proven experience in managing foundry relations and leading technical teams. Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage cross-functional teams and international partners. Base Salary Range:
$ 230,000 - $250,000 depending on experience
