The Engineering Division of the City's Public Works Department delivers the City's Capital Improvement Program. The seven-year CIP includes $150+ million in local improvements, with another $370 million in future infrastructure investment planned for the 1,600-acre Tustin Legacy. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Public Works - City Engineer, the Assistant City Engineer is a newly created leadership position designed to strengthen the people, systems, and practices behind Tustin's Engineering Division. The successful candidate will help mentor and develop engineering professionals, strengthen project delivery and QA/QC practices, and serve as a trusted leadership partner to the City Engineer. Tustin seeks an accomplished, people-centered engineering leader with sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills. Requires six years of professional civil engineering experience, including three years in a supervisory or management capacity and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
