POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing excellent customer service to the guest. Follow Marriott Brand guidelines of the hotel and ensure the guests has a pleasant stay. Manages all Engineering activities to ensure smooth operation of all systems and services required to meet/exceed Marriott standards. Builds and manages teams effectively.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to: General Manager Interfaces with: All levels of management/, non-management associates, local businesses and customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Providing guidance and direction to ensure overall department success. Responsible for planning department goals and directing team members to achieve results. Carries out responsibilities include inspecting facilities for maintenance needs, planning, assigning, and directing work. Monitors day to day Engineering operations to ensure property is maintained to exceed guest expectations and meet or exceed property standards. Takes corrective action as needed. Prepares schedules to ensure staffing levels are optimal. Develops, implements and manages the property's maintenance program. Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory and assents such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, televisions, replenishes supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient, manner. Repairs to HVAC Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, repairs to pipe lines, toilets, sinks, kitchens and laundry equipment. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or request to ensure strong guest satisfaction. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments Assist with other issues as assigned Monitors and handles guest complaints while ensuring guest satisfaction. Handle calls through radio for guest related Review with the front desk for any open tickets Maintain master keys are properly controlled Will be assigned to cleaning and general maintenance duties in the engineering spaces and other assigned daily operations. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; plus, one to three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous customer service experience is required, preferably in a hotel environment. Candidate should have outstanding analytical skills, attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, attention to detail and organizational skills. Must be able to work well in a high paced environment. The ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure effectively and work independently. The ability to deal with internal and external guests with a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy. Must be a team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of associates and management. Bilingual a plus
