Job Description

BIOS Program Manager High Performance Workstation Computing Description
  • This role is responsible for coordinating multiple projects within a large scale program, planning and executing moderately complex projects, and driving simple and effective processes within these projects.
The role applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues, and identify innovative solutions.

The role defines project scope, and tracks progress against established plans, to give alteration recommendations to the program manager. Responsibilities Demonstrates strong understanding of product development lifecycle and software engineering methodologies, and their execution principles. Coordinates multiple projects within a large scale program involving one or more functions driving the engineering development and implementation process for products or service offerings. Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge and actively participates to solve variety of common business issues; uses analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Plans, coordinates, and executes moderately complex projects, which includes defining project scope, requirements, and deliverables, creating and managing project schedules, and tracking progress and resolving issues. Develops portions of support requirements for assigned project, including budgets, and resource allocation plans, in accordance with provided plan and specifications. Coordinates the activities of associated project teams; tracks progress against established plans, reports results, and makes recommendations for alterations or updates to program manager. Develops program communications, including creation of status reports and summaries, tracking escalations and resolutions of issues, coordinating stakeholder meetings and updates, and updating project and program plans. Drives simple and effective processes to avoid quality and execution issues in the development cycle. Education & Experience Recommended Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
