For over 50 years, we've operated as a Lean, quality-obsessed organization with a relentless focus on customer success. As our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you'll guide a high-caliber group of engineers in a high-mix, low-volume environment. Your day starts with a quick stand-up to align resources and schedules, moves into a design review where you challenge a make/buy decision, and shifts to hands-on support on the floor to validate a new process for hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies. In between, you coach, clear roadblocks, connect with suppliers, and ensure our documentation and change processes are rock-solid. What you'll do Direct, coach, and develop manufacturing engineers; own project scheduling, resource planning, hiring, reviews, and performance management. Serve as the primary technical point for new process development and product extensions—covering process design, machine tool programming, make/buy analysis, and project follow-through. Oversee departmental efforts to design new products, refine existing designs, improve production techniques, and create test equipment with associated procedures. Establish, maintain, and improve engineering processes and procedures; drive creation and administration of MOM and BOM, and safeguard the Engineering Change (ECR) process. Institute a steady cadence of department, cross-functional, project, and postmortem meetings. Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship; set standards and cultivate process ownership across the team. Engage with customers on product and performance topics; represent engineering with clarity and confidence. Collaborate directly with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve issues in manufacturing, testing, and production. Champion a safe workplace and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Pitch in on additional duties as business needs evolve. What you'll bring B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; 7-10 years of progressive aerospace manufacturing engineering experience. At least 3 years leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Fluency in Manufacturing and Electrical Engineering principles, standards, and methods.
