Job Description

Manufacturing Engineering Manager We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager with extensive experience in EMS, PCB, and PCBA contract manufacturing to lead engineering operations in a high-mix production environment. This role requires strong expertise in SMT manufacturing, process engineering, NPI, and complex electronic assemblies, along with proven leadership of large engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Lead Manufacturing Engineering teams supporting
PCB/PCBA
production. Drive process improvements, yield enhancement, quality initiatives, and cost reduction. Oversee SMT manufacturing processes, programming, equipment utilization, and production readiness. Support NPI activities, DFM reviews, and new product launches. Partner with Operations, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve performance. Provide technical leadership for complex, high-component-count PCBAs. Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, documentation, and engineering standards. Required Qualifications 10+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in
EMS/PCB/PCBA
contract manufacturing. 5+ years leading engineering teams in a high-mix electronics manufacturing environment. Experience managing large engineering organizations supporting 175+ employees. Experience in organizations with $80M-$100M+ annual revenue. Strong hands-on manufacturing floor leadership.
Deep knowledge of:
SMT equipment, programming, and processes PCB and PCBA manufacturing NPI and DFM methodologies CAD/Gerber files, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation Process optimization and root cause analysis Experience with complex PCBAs featuring intricate designs and high component densities. Preferred Qualifications Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification. Experience with MES and ERP systems. Knowledge of AOI, SPI, automated test, and advanced SMT technologies. Ideal Candidate A proven engineering leader with a strong EMS/contract manufacturing background who combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate is comfortable on the manufacturing floor, understands complex SMT operations, and has successfully led large engineering teams in a high-mix PCBA environment.
