Job Title:
Engineering Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a hands-on wastewater conveyance project manager to oversee CCTV and rehabilitation contractors, interpret PACP data, and operate daily on-site within a large consent decree program. The ideal candidate will manage Sanitary Sewer Condition Assessments and Rehab Contracts, determining clean, repair, or replacement strategies in support of a major engineering firm. Responsibilities Manage contractors performing various sewer assessment technologies, tracking schedule, budget, performance, utilization, and submittals. Provide input and recommendations to address contractor problems encountered in the field, such as access, wastewater assessment practices, and sewer cleaning issues. Develop assignments for new assessment areas, including creating GIS shapefiles, mobile maps, and asset lists. Review contract deliverables, perform quality assurance on submittals, manage field change directives, and respond to RFIs. Coordinate with inspectors, community outreach, engineering, and contractors to manage relationships and communicate effectively with clients. Discuss project results and recommendations with clients to facilitate informed decision-making. Write, review, and provide input on investigation, regulatory, or solution reports. Manage deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget. Essential Skills 5-10 years of technical experience in wastewater conveyance system assessment, inspection, design, or construction. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field. Proficiency in GIS for data analysis and decision-making. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in client service management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Working knowledge of ArcGIS and production of maps and files. Experience with InfoMaster/InfoAsset. NASSCO certification (MACP). Experience in the Southeast US wastewater industry. Development and/or implementation of CMOM programs. Delivery of consent decree programs. Work Environment The role is based on-site at the DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management Office. The position requires four days on-site each week in Decatur, GA. The work involves project coordination, technical review, field interfacing, and program compliance support, providing significant exposure to advanced tools and systems. This is a dynamic and technically rich environment with opportunities for career growth and development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roswell, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
