Senior Aerospace Program Manager Location:
Onsite Employment Type:
6-Month Contract-to-Hire Position Overview An established aerospace and defense organization is seeking an experienced Senior Aerospace Program Manager to lead complex aircraft-related programs and ensure successful execution across cost, schedule, quality, and compliance objectives. This individual will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and contracts teams to drive program performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing aerospace or aviation programs within highly regulated environments and have a strong understanding of technical, operational, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of aircraft-related programs from kickoff through completion. Manage schedules, budgets, deliverables, and overall program performance. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource requirements. Identify and mitigate risks while driving projects to successful completion. Coordinate efforts across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and contracts teams. Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. Support contract execution, scope changes, and program reporting activities. Drive issue resolution and corrective action plans when necessary. Present program status updates to leadership and key stakeholders. Ensure proper project closeout and documentation upon completion.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of program management experience. Experience within the aerospace, aviation, or defense industry. Proven track record managing aircraft-related programs, technical projects, or complex manufacturing initiatives. Experience working within highly regulated environments. Knowledge of quality, compliance, and risk management processes. Ability to review and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of material. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting military aviation programs. Background in aircraft sustainment, modification, modernization, repair, or production programs. Experience collaborating with engineering teams on technical development efforts. Knowledge of government or defense contract environments. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes and quality systems.

GRPA Pay:
$60.00 - $66.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
