Getting it built takes someone who understands materials, machinery, drawings, costs, and the people doing the work. Entech Network Solutions is recruiting for a confidential company seeking an experienced technical leader to oversee the planning of custom displays, scenery, and specialty environments. This position is well suited to someone who has worked closely with fabrication shops, solved difficult construction challenges, and developed designers into stronger technical contributors. The Work Projects begin with a concept or customer request. Your responsibility is to guide the team in developing a workable approach and preparing the information production needs. On a typical project, you might: Review a proposed structure and identify difficult connections, material limitations, or installation challenges. Work with designers to develop dimensions, construction details, assembly instructions, and material lists. Check that machine cutting files match the intended design and fabrication method. Discuss options with shop leaders and determine which approach fits the available equipment, budget, and schedule. Help calculate the labor, materials, and outside resources required. Resolve changes without losing sight of the delivery deadline. Alongside individual projects, you will establish technical standards, review your team's work, and improve how design information reaches the shop. Experience That Fits We are looking for candidates with at least five years of relevant technical design and detailing experience, including responsibility for leading people or directing their work.
Your background should include:
Custom fabrication for exhibits, scenery, displays, themed spaces, branded interiors, or similar applications. Preparing or reviewing detailed drawings used by builders and installers. Working knowledge of wood, plastics, foam, light metals, or other materials used in specialty construction. Familiarity with CNC equipment and digital fabrication files. Experience using CAD or 3D design software. Managing several custom projects with short production schedules. Making practical decisions about build methods and costs. Experience may come from a Technical Director, Design Manager, Scenic Manager, or Senior Project Manager position. What matters is your level of technical responsibility and your ability to lead the work.
