Vice President of Construction Hyperscale Data Centers • Owner-Side • Miami, FL. Relocation Welcome About the company A well-funded infrastructure company with a strong existing business is making a significant move into large-scale data center development across North America. With major projects already underway and a growing pipeline, they are now building out their construction leadership team. This is an early enough stage for the right person to shape how they build, with the financial backing and ambition to do it at scale. About the role This is an owner-side seat. You will take full accountability for the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale data center build, from groundbreaking through commissioning. The buck stops with you on your project. You will have a small team reporting to you, working closely with design, engineering, finance, and executive leadership. This is not a portfolio management role, it is a hands-on builder seat for someone who genuinely loves the work. Key responsibilities Own the full construction lifecycle, planning, design interface, permitting, vertical build, commissioning, and handover Select, negotiate with, and manage the prime contractor under AIA agreements Drive schedule, budget, safety, and quality across your build Implement and refine standardized delivery processes and playbooks Coach and develop a small team of analysts and associates Act as the senior on-site voice across all construction matters About you 12+ years in construction management on large-scale data center, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure projects At least one large-scale build delivered end-to-end as the accountable owner Exposure to hyperscale or multi-hundred-megawatt-class data center environments preferred Strong working knowledge of AIA contracts, GMP structures, change order management, and GC/vendor negotiations Familiar with data center MEP infrastructure and commissioning requirements A hands-on builder at heart, comfortable at active construction sites Compensation & location Based in Miami, FL.
