This role combines technical leadership, project and operations management, client-facing business development, and staff mentoring to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of transportation, site, stormwater, hydraulic, geotechnical, and utility projects within budget and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and management for regional engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development. Oversee delivery of civil engineering projects from proposal through design, permitting, construction support, and closeout to ensure quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met. Perform technical review and provide senior-level engineering guidance on designs for ground improvement projects. Develop and maintain client relationships, lead business development efforts, prepare proposals, and support contract negotiations to grow regional workload. Allocate resources and manage regional staffing, subcontractors, and external consultants to optimize utilization and meet project demands. Provide construction-phase support including inspections, RFI responses, submittal reviews, contract change management, and field coordination. Manage project budgets, oversee cost estimating and quantity takeoffs, and monitor project financial performance. Lead scheduling and project controls using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools to ensure timely project completion. Promote safety, risk management, and sustainable design practices, including LEED and other sustainability initiatives. Foster collaboration across disciplinesstructural, geotechnical, transportation, environmentaland with stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain licensure in the region; multiple state registrations a plus. Proven experience managing transportation, roadway, stormwater, drainage, utility, and site development projects. Experience with geotechnical engineering topics such as soil mechanics, foundation design, retaining walls, slope stability, and pavement design. Ability and willingness to travel within the region and to project sites as required.
