Under the direction of the Vice President, Automation & Digitalization (North America), this position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining all business aspects of our North American SMART Product line. This position will participate in setting and communicating the long-term vision and strategy for the business, delivering profitable growth, ensure continuity and quality in our deliveries, and ensure the longevity and competitiveness of our technologies.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a long-term growth strategy for the North American SMART Product business to achieve divisional objectives and growth of the product line. Support and, when necessary, lead sales efforts with detailed technical proposals and cost estimates. Provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the applications in core markets and make strategic product decisions, in collaboration with the Global Product Home and North American Pulp and Paper Colleagues, to ensure the business achieves its objectives. Lead a regional team of professionals and ensure they are motivated and trained to provide consistent quality. Participate in the development of medium and long-term plans. Participate in the development of operational budgets and monitor and control the regional financial performance of the product line. Work closely with the Sales & Business Development team to define, develop, and execute sales growth strategies and campaigns. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that core operational functions achieve their business objectives and adhere to the quality standards established by the company. Maintain working relationships with all other directors to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives. Keep abreast of latest industry developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position. Identify and manage technical risks and issues and taking corrective actions. Evaluate the product line's performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics. Lead through management and mentorship, while embodying, fostering, and enforcing ANDRITZ values and principles.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in chemical, process, electrical, or automation and control engineering or practical equivalent Minimum of five (5) years' experience in process measurement and control, automation, and electrification. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in product management Deep understanding of Pulp & Paper processes Ability to mentor and lead a team of diverse, technical professionals Strong business acumen and desire to develop sales Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Good command of English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish a plusOther Valued Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
