We Are Recruiting for a Project Manager (Mechanical) / Site Manager (Mechanical) | Ames, Iowa We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager (Mechanical) or Site Manager (Mechanical) to lead mechanical construction operations on one of the largest construction projects in Iowa This executive-level leadership role is responsible for overseeing large-scale mechanical construction, managing subcontractors, coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies, and ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.
What You'll Do:
Lead onsite mechanical construction and field operations Manage HVAC, process piping, and utility system installations Coordinate subcontractors, clients, and regulatory authorities Drive project safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance Resolve technical challenges and improve constructability Lead project teams to successful project delivery
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field 10+ years of mechanical construction experience on large industrial or commercial projects Proven leadership managing major mechanical scopes for top-tier construction firms Strong knowledge of U.S. mechanical construction practices and project management Semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or mission-critical project experience is a plus PE or PMP certification is preferred Why Join? $120,000-$160,000 base salary Annual performance bonus Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Complimentary breakfast and lunch, with dinner during overtime Relocation assistance available Opportunity to lead a critical role on one of the largest construction projects in Iowa If your background aligns with this opportunity, or you know someone who would be a great fit, I'd love to connect.
