Core Responsibilities:
Drive and coordinate quality resolutions for immediate shop floor and client concerns, prioritizing permanent fixes to help maintain a stable production environment. Manage quality planning initiatives with a primary focus on fluid conveyance, while also addressing hydraulics, metal fabrication, and fastener components. Oversee quality planning activities that encompass current product lines, supplier change requests, cost-saving measures, and both temporary and long-term sourcing strategies. Conduct Design Process and Assembly Reviews (DPARs), alongside detailed print and design evaluations for new and existing products. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies and quality tools, such as Statistical Analysis, FMEA, and 8D, to identify and mitigate quality risks for external parts and assemblies to ensure high standards. Direct and mentor Supplier Quality Improvement Teams to enhance overall performance.
Professional Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including the facilitation and leadership of cross-functional teams. Proficiency in applying quality management principles and tools like FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, Control Plans, Gage R&R, MSA, and Capability Studies. Expertise in interpreting intricate technical drawings, including a functional grasp of GD&T standards. Skilled in advanced data collection and analytical techniques, specifically statistical analysis. Prior background working in Supplier Quality Engineering or general Quality Engineering roles. Proven track record of self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Education and Skills:
Academic background in Technology, Engineering, Communications, Business, Computer Science, or Data Analytics. We welcome applications from recent graduates. Compensation and Benefits Overview:
The base pay for this role is $35.81 - $37.00/hr. Non-exempt staff are eligible for 1.5x overtime pay for hours exceeding 40 per week, subject to local regulations. Final compensation is based on your specific experience, education, and skills.
