In this position, you will lead multi-functional teams that executes all phases of the NPI (New Product Introduction) process for Large Mining Trucks. You will play a key role in leading key programs from Launch to GW7 with a keen eye on the Quality, Time, and Cost (Investments and Benefits) of the program. This role will be expected to run multiple NPI programs at the same time. You will be responsible for identifying and finding improvement opportunities that exist across each of the different processes and executing strategies to address them. We have a fabulous team that does some of the most exciting work at Caterpillar, and we can't wait for you to join the team!What you will do:
Leads activities defining NPI Program deliverables, scope, timelines and business case. Develops overall NPI program schedule considering requirements of all teams involved from product development to validation and value chain readiness. Creates, leads and coordinates NPI Gate Reviews and other stakeholder reviews Manages the NPI Program Team and keeps a close eye on any gaps to achieve program goals. Acts as a link between all the teams involved in NPI Program execution to drive a consistent approach in gap resolutions and developing recommendation for leadership decisions. Provides input into marketing strategies and customer messages related to products and markets impacted by the program.Degree Requirement:
Degree from an Accredited College or University or equivalent experience desired What Skills you will have: Effective Communication Communicates clearly with diverse audiences, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Delivers complex program and investment information with clarity and influence. Strengthens communication culture and coaches others on effective communication practices. Ensures consistent, high-quality communication across NPI, CPI, and Six Sigma project teams. Program Management Leads large, complex, multi-functional programs, including capital projects >$10M. Skilled in Caterpillar's NPI process, cross-functional leadership, and phase-gate execution. Applies Six Sigma and CPI methodologies to improve quality, cost, and delivery. Oversees risk management, governance, reporting, and stakeholder alignment across integrated projects. Coaches project managers and drives program visibility through strong communication and controls. Planning (Tactical & Strategic) Develops and executes tactical plans supporting major programs and NPI initiatives. Aligns resources, schedules, and budgets with broader business strategy. Integrates multi-functional planning across engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance. Provides high-quality inputs into long-term strategic planning and capital planning cycles. Problem Solving Leads structured, data-driven problem solving using Six Sigma and CPI tools. Drives root-cause analysis and resolution for high-impact technical, operational, and program issues. Synthesizes complex information and generates effective solution paths. Captures lessons learned and embeds continuous improvement across teams.Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00- $192,710.
