Specializes in gear systems (design + analysis + manufacturing) Has hands-on experience AND team leadership experience Has taken products from concept ? production ?

Strong expertise in: Gear design (spur, helical, planetary, etc.) Gear analysis (stress, durability, efficiency) Manufacturing processes (machining, heat treatment, tolerances) Experience using: CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, etc.) Engineering/analysis tools (FEA, simulation) Familiarity with: ERP systems (for production/manufacturing flow) Job Description Join us in Elmhurst, IL to guide a talented engineering group focused on designing and optimizing gear systems that power our products. You'll operate at the intersection of people leadership, technical decision-making, and cross-functional execution. Your impact Own the delivery of high-quality gear system designs by coaching, mentoring, and unblocking a team of engineers. Translate business objectives into executable plans; manage schedules, budgets, and resources to finish on time and on target. Partner with product design, manufacturing, and operations to integrate gear solutions into complete product architectures. Implement continuous improvement to boost performance and streamline manufacturing. Run performance reviews and provide clear growth feedback. Stay current on gear technologies and industry trends to inform decisions. Nurture a collaborative, innovative engineering culture. What you'll need to succeed BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred. 5+ years in engineering with 2+ years in a people-management role. Deep knowledge of gear design, analysis, and manufacturing. Proven history of taking products from concept through launch. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability. Hands-on proficiency with CAD and engineering analysis tools. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
