Job Description
The Regional President, Americas is the regional leader accountable for Regional General Management at TOMY International. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, they own regional P&L, customer relationships, route-to-market and cross-functional execution in the GM-like business leader capacity for the region. Global functions set enterprise strategy, standards, and playbooks; the Regional President translates them into a coherent regional plan and owns the trade-offs required to execute and deliver results in the market. Success requires a broad business leader who can move beyond functional advocacy and manage the region as an integrated enterprise. The Regional President must protect local customer and market speed while aligning to global brand, commercial, operational, financial, legal, and people standards. Key Responsibilities1. Regional Commercial Strategy, P&L & Business Performance Set and deliver the regional commercial strategy, annual operating plan, P&L, revenue, margin, cash, and market-development priorities. Translate enterprise portfolio, commercial, brand, operations, and financial direction into an integrated regional plan. Make explicit trade-offs among growth, margin, inventory, service, marketing investment, customer commitments, and capacity. Lead monthly and quarterly regional performance reviews and timely corrective action. 2. Customer, Sales & Route-to-Market Leadership Own regional customer relationships, negotiations, channel plans, distribution strategy, and route-to-market execution through the Regional Head of Sales. Ensure the sales organization is structured by actual customer/channel needs, including mass, specialty, e-commerce, marketplace, distributor, OEM, and direct channels as relevant. Sponsor strategic customer plans and resolve local pricing, assortment, promotion, service, and channel conflicts within enterprise guardrails. Build strong demand signals and account plans that support forecasting, inventory, and supply decisions. 3. Regional Marketing & Portfolio Activation Lead local deployment of global category and brand priorities through the Regional Head of Marketing. Own regional marketing budgets, market calendars, trade/shopper activation, local MarCom, and customer-specific execution. Ensure local adaptation preserves global brand standards, licensing obligations, launch parameters, and portfolio priorities. Provide market, consumer, retailer, competitor, and performance feedback to global category and insight teams. 4. Cross-Functional Operating Integration Integrate regional needs and performance across Supply Chain, Consumer Experience, Finance, HR, Technology, Legal, and Product Integrity. Partner with global functions on inventory, service, launch readiness, statutory requirements, workforce, systems, and risk. Escalate material constraints and trade-offs early with clear options and recommendations. Ensure regional decisions are executable, compliant, financially sound, and consistent with enterprise priorities. 5. Regional Governance, Forecasting & Risk Maintain a transparent regional view of revenue, margin, forecast, inventory, working capital, customer concentration, and execution risk. Ensure functional dotted-line relationships are translated into practical standards, service expectations, and decision rights. Maintain effective governance for distributors, agents, partners, and outsourced providers. Protect financial control, legal, regulatory, people, and product-integrity independence. 6. Leadership & Regional Capability Build and develop Regional Heads of Sales and Marketing and a strong cross-functional regional leadership community. Create clear accountability, effective spans, succession depth, and collaboration across countries and markets. Balance regional identity and empowerment with enterprise-first behavior and shared capability. Model ownership, commercial judgment, customer focus, inclusion, pace, and constructive partnership. Key Role Interfaces & Decision Boundaries Role Scope Owns Regional P&L; regional strategy and operating plan; customer relationships and negotiations; route-to-market; local sales and marketing execution; regional budget deployment; integrated regional performance. Recommends / co-owns Regional targets and investment with CCO and CFO; brand and launch priorities with CMGO; service, inventory, and operational plans with COO; workforce and risk decisions with CHRO and CLO. Supports Enterprise commercial, brand, venture, supply-chain, technology, finance, HR, legal, and integration priorities through market input and execution. Does not own Global functional strategy, brand guardrails, enterprise pricing/trade policy, accounting and statutory authority, product-regulatory standards, technology architecture, or global talent policy. QualificationsExperience 12+ years of progressive experience in regional general management, sales and marketing leadership, P&L ownership, customer development, and cross-functional business leadership, including leadership or ownership at a scope comparable to this role. Demonstrated success delivering profitable regional growth, leading major customers and channels, and integrating functional priorities into strong local execution. Strong knowledge of regional market dynamics, customers, regulatory requirements, and cross-border operating considerations. Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders across direct and matrix reporting relationships. Experience using data, systems, and process discipline to improve decision quality, transparency, and execution reliability. Track record of leading or supporting change while maintaining accurate, timely delivery during transformation. Experience in consumer products, toys, retail, entertainment, licensing, or adjacent branded categories and across global markets strongly preferred. Education & Credentials Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. MBA or comparable advanced commercial leadership qualification preferred. Skills & Capabilities Regional P&L management, commercial judgment, customer leadership, and route-to-market strategy. Ability to integrate sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, service, people, systems, and risk into one business plan. Strong knowledge of local market, retailer, distributor, consumer, regulatory, and competitive dynamics. Forecasting, performance management, resource allocation, and disciplined corrective-action leadership. Matrix leadership and ability to work with global functions without creating ambiguity or delay. Talent development, cross-cultural leadership, communication, negotiation, and enterprise-first judgment. Creative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias toward ownership, initiative, and commercially grounded problem-solving. Success Measures Regional net sales, gross margin, operating profit, cash, inventory, and working-capital performance. Customer, channel, distribution, market-share, and route-to-market outcomes. Forecast accuracy, launch execution, service levels, and inventory availability/health. Effectiveness and ROI of regional marketing and trade/shopper investment. Compliance with global brand, finance, legal, product-integrity, technology, and people standards. Strength, engagement, collaboration, and succession depth of the regional leadership team.
