About the role. The Global Manager of Utilities provides enterprise leadership for the strategy, standards, governance, and continuous improvement of utility systems across McCain's global operations. This role serves as a senior technical authority for Process Safety Management (PSM), refrigeration, boilers, steam, compressed air, HVAC, and related utility systems. The position combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to strengthen safety, reliability, operational excellence, and sustainability performance across the global network. What you'll be doing. Lead enterprise utility strategy, standards, and governance across global operations for refrigeration, boilers, steam, compressed air, HVAC, and related systems Serve as the senior technical leader for Process Safety Management (PSM) and refrigeration risk management, enhancing compliance and reducing enterprise risk Act as the global subject matter expert for Key Elements of Refrigeration (KER), driving deployment, governance, and continuous improvement Establish and maintain global engineering standards, technical governance practices, and design review frameworks for utility systems and capital projects Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving efforts, embedding lessons learned into standards and practices Direct utility-related capital planning and project execution, including concept development, business case support, scope definition, and delivery oversight Partner cross-functionally with operations, safety, engineering, procurement, finance, and project teams to align investments with enterprise priorities Drive sustainability and optimization initiatives across energy, water, fuels, electricity, carbon reduction, and lifecycle cost performance Define performance metrics, benchmarking, and reporting routines to improve visibility and support continuous improvement Build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing across global teams What you'll need to be successful. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in utility systems and refrigeration disciplines, ideally across multi-site or global operations Deep technical expertise in industrial utilities, particularly ammonia refrigeration systems and Process Safety Management (PSM) Proven experience developing and governing technical standards, audit frameworks, or structured improvement programs (e.g., KER) Demonstrated track record in capital planning, project execution, and long-term infrastructure strategy Strong business and technical acumen, with systems thinking and data-driven decision-making capabilities Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation Experience driving energy, water, carbon, and sustainability initiatives in industrial or manufacturing environments Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and regions Fluency in English; additional language skills are considered an asset Willingness and ability to travel globally (30-50%) About the team. Compensation Package :
$102,700.00 - $137,000.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
