Under the general direction of the VP Mono Laser R D & Automation, the Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for designing and documenting electrical circuitry for automation equipment, programming of all robotics and automation machinery, prepare export equipment for CE testing and conduct research for electrical projects in order to provide this information to the mechanical engineers for integration into the machine design.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design electrical circuitry and document schematics via AutoCAD. Create pneumatic circuitry diagrams Supervise, guide and instruct Electrical Drafter's and Technicians with their daily responsibility's Prepare reviews for direct reports Interface with mechanical engineers to gather detailed electrical automation project information Conduct research to find the best electrical components to use for automation equipment. Programming of all Automation equipment using Beckhoff control platform Prepare export equipment for CE Certification including documentation and certification testing Conduct training on the use of constructed automation equipment at customers' site Troubleshoot problems that may arise with the automation equipment. Work with mechanical engineers to assist them with sizing and selection of electrical components Hand off electrical designs and provide overview of project to panel builders and electrical personnelQUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. Minimum 5 years previous work experience required. Proficient with AutoCAD Must have an electrical and pneumatic background Proven leadership experience ISO9000 Background preferred CE Certification experience preferred Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all interactions Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Good organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced working environmentBASIC AND OR MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
