full-time A leading manufacturing company is looking for a Technical Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering organization at a large, high-volume manufacturing facility. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role with significant influence over plant reliability, continuous improvement, capital projects, and technical talent. What You'll Do Lead approximately 30-35 technical employees across Maintenance, Engineering, MRO and Quality Drive equipment reliability, troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance and continuous improvement Oversee a multi-million-dollar CAPEX program and approximately $500K/month maintenance & repair budget Lead capital projects and identify opportunities to improve equipment, processes and plant performance Develop and mentor an experienced technical team across a 24/7 manufacturing operation Partner closely with Operations and plant leadership to improve safety, productivity, reliability and cost Spend significant time on the plant floor - approximately 60% floor / 40% administrative What We're Looking For 5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume, complex manufacturing environment Strong industrial maintenance and engineering/technical background Proven experience leading maintenance and/or engineering teams Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills CAPEX and project management experience Comfortable working directly with technicians and being hands-on when needed Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills Engineering degree strongly preferred Experience with plastics, extrusion, blown film, converting, packaging, automotive, food, injection molding or similar manufacturing is a plus SAP, CMMS, Lean/Kaizen, A3 or RCA experience is a plus Why This Opportunity? $120K-$150K base salary + 20% bonus Relocation assistance available - full relocation support may be provided 120 hours vacation to start Significant ownership of CAPEX, maintenance spending and plant reliability Opportunity to make a measurable impact in a complex, high-volume operation Strong long-term career path with potential progression into Plant Management Hands-on leadership role with substantial technical and operational visibility This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong maintenance/engineering leader who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems alongside their team, and driving meaningful improvements rather than managing from behind a desk.
