Garver is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to join our growing team in the Overland Park area. They will be mentored and trained as seller-doers with opportunities to lead projects, market our services, interact with transportation clients in Kansas.
Responsibilities:
Project management Sub-consultant coordination Project/task scheduling Civil design Plan production oversight Preparing cost estimates Client interaction Technical experience should include: Geometric design for roadways/interchanges Drainage design Construction sequencing and traffic control Utility relocation coordination Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) Six (6) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (KDOT preferred). Practical working knowledge of the KDOT Roadway Design Manual and the AASHTO Greenbook and Roadside Design Guide as well as other KDOT Design manuals and processes. Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer). Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong working knowledge ofMS Office Preferred Requirements:
Previous roadway design experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on KDOT (or other DOT) transportation projects. 3D Design experience.
