This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead engineering organization and provide technical leadership to tea m Establishes, oversees, and administers processes, policies, and practices and determines resource requirements, acquisition, and redeployment plan s Oversee and manage budgets of the organization and development project s Understands full life cycle requirements for product developmen t Works with subordinates to establish and evaluate employee performance plan s Interfaces with other organizations, internal/external customers, and suppliers to define and evaluate accomplishment of project, program priorities and approvals, and assist in roadblocks eliminatio n Mentor and collaborate with engineers within your team to enhance skills and assist in their desired career trajector y Identify, assess, and drive to closure any technical risks or opportunities associated with your progra m Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering progra m 5+ years of related engineering experience 2+ years of related technical management and/or technical leadership experienc e Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Stress Engineering/Stress Analysis experience Stress Engineering Management backgroun d Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and hold people accountabl e Excellent interpersonal skills working cross functionally across team s Analytical, demonstrated ability to deconstruct requirements and prioritize accordingl y Keen eye for details and a focus on continuous process improvemen t Exceptional time management skill s Engineering experience in the Aerospace industr y Strong presentation skill s Excellent written and oral communication skill s
