- -Manage, direct, and evaluate the performance of assigned engineering team members.
- Provide technical support and expertise for manufacturing production processes.
- Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Oversee the identification, justification, and execution of capital equipment projects.
- Manage the implementation of new processes, procedures, and work standards to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes are completed accurately for production changes.
- Support plant quality initiatives by implementing engineering controls and mistake-proofing new and existing production processes.
- Actively participate in Six Sigma projects as a belt or team member.
- Review engineering designs for assembly fixtures to ensure adherence to critical dimensions and recommend necessary changes.
- Maintain professional communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work off-shift hours and weekends as needed.
- Prepare and present engineering activity status reports to management. Qualifications
- Minimum seven (7) years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Prior supervisory experience managing engineering teams.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and make decisions in a production environment.
- Safety-conscious, self-motivated, and a strong team player.
- Experience coordinating and directing large process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with or training in Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience coordinating capital projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Creo Parametric, and CAM software.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Certification or belt in Six Sigma.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc
- -Bachelor's degree in engineering (required), preferably Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master's degree in engineering (preferred).
