Engineering Manager - Structural Engineering Are you an accomplished Structural Engineer looking to elevate your career and lead a high-performing technical team? The Personnel Consulting Group is partnering with an industry leader in custom material handling and heavy-lifting engineering solutions for the oil and gas industry. This is a dynamic leadership position where you will direct complex engineering projects, mentor engineering talent, and see your team's designs brought to life in real-time on-site.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of civil and structural engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Engineering Execution:
Oversee design and technical analysis for custom structural steel, heavy lifting, and material handling systems from initial concept through fabrication and deployment.
Project Oversight:
Manage engineering schedules, project budgets, resource allocation, and quality control to ensure flawless technical execution.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Partner directly with fabrication, shop operations, project managers, and executive leadership to solve complex field and design challenges.
Continuous Improvement:
Refine design standards, engineering workflows, and quality assurance protocols across the department.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (M.S. preferred).
Licensure:
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (Louisiana P.E. or ability to obtain via comity).
Experience:
7+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, with demonstrated lead, supervisory, or management capability.
Technical Expertise:
Heavy lifting equipment, bulk material handling, industrial steel design, or offshore structural systems experience is highly preferred.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
