Salary Range :
$76,000+ - Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications) 📈

PMO Department Overview:
The Engineering PMO Department provides Project Management and Contract compliance with structure and oversight that support Ampirical's engineering teams in delivering high-quality power delivery projects. The department manages proposals, scope, schedule, budget, and risk while ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards. Serving as a central hub for coordination, communication, and project controls, the PMO drives consistency, accountability, and smooth execution across all engineering projects.
Your Role:
Engineering Project Manager ( I or II ) Ampirical's Engineering PMO is seeking Project Manager ( I or II ) to lead engineering project delivery across the full project lifecycle — managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and client relationships on electrical utility projects ranging from single-discipline designs to multi-discipline programs. This is a hands-on leadership role within a growing PMO where project managers own their projects end to end and are supported by a dedicated Project Controls team.
What You'll Do:
Manage contracts and project scopes ranging from $1M-$5M+, ensuring all technical deliverables meet client and regulatory standards.
Project Manager I :
is responsible for managing contract scopes for smaller projects, task orders, and designs valued at $250,000 or less, with a focus on single-discipline or non-complex designs.
Project Manager II :
expands that responsibility to complex, multi-discipline projects, task orders, and designs valued between $250,000 and $1,000,000+, encompassing multiple engineering disciplines and multiple concurrent projects Own the full project lifecycle — from proposal and kickoff through design, field coordination, and closeout — ensuring deliverables are on time, on budget, and contract-compliant Develop engineering budgets, milestone schedules, and resource plans using bottom-up methods and manage performance against those plans throughout execution Lead stakeholder communication across engineering teams, clients, subconsultants, and internal leadership — including meetings, status reports, and change order management Manage contract scope, risk registers, and monthly reporting across the five pillars of contract management: scope, risk, schedule, budget, and resources Coordinate field activities including site observations, commissioning events, surveys, and feasibility studies while ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards Write and support proposals ranging from task order letters to competitive bid packages, including scope narratives, assumptions, and pricing Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and the industry standard of care across every deliverable
