Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our engineering, electrical, mechanical, welding, maintenance, and technical operations teams within our production facility. This role ensures optimal plant performance, reliability of equipment, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and continuous improvement of processing systems.
Responsibilities Plant Engineering and Maintenance:
Reported problems are correctly diagnosed and addressed Repairs are first time right to reduce stoppages and lost fish Maintenance performed according to equipment specification and statutory requirements KPI's related to downtime, production volumes, labor hours etc. reported regularly and accurately All regulatory maintenance completed on time and in full, with proper documentation of work maintained. Alignment with EHS team to file paperwork and registrations required to maintain facility accreditation. All stakeholders are timeously informed of plant status Spending is within budget Availability of steam to fishmeal plant requirements and at correct pressure requirements Timely equipment start up and monitoring of fuel usage to ensure optimal operational costs. Compliance to statutory requirements ensured
Capital Projects & Production Facility Upgrades:
3-year capital planned maintained with input from EHS, FSQR, Production, and commercial teams. Accurate cost estimation and timelines are determined, and projects are well documented/communicated Correct procedures followed in terms of selecting and appointing contractors, in conjunction with Procurement Implementation takes place according to approved project plan and budget, as well as equipment specifications and statutory requirements Accurate budgets maintained and costs recorded in coordination with warehouse team Accurate monthly analysis of results Accurate report back at management meetings Capex and Maintenance requests authorized
People Management:
Oversee supervision of engineering and maintenance personnel including delegation of responsibilities and scheduling. Provide training, maintain job performance standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Promote efficient workflows while enforcing safety standards and best practices. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or or equivalent experience preferred 7-10 years experience with a minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience Proven experience managing engineering and maintenance teams Proficient in MS Office suite Knowledge of the following systems: AutoCad, MS Projects, and SAP(PM)
