    Role:
    Lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for the intentional and efficient design and integration of VulcanForms\' production facilities. Integrate digital and physical factory architectures to support future scaling, capacity growth, and company objectives. Serve as a player-coach who guides engineers through complex technical challenges and drives the development and deployment of production-ready systems supporting lights-out manufacturing and 24/7 factory scalability. Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to transform advanced automation concepts into seamless factory operations.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead talent evaluation, career development, technical skill growth, and performance management for the Factory Integration Engineering team
    • Serve as the primary authority for factory integration and identify operational constraints and high-cost labor areas during pre-planning
    • Maintain accurate, ongoing OEE tracking across all company facilities
    • Lead the development of engineered solutions that balance throughput, quality, cost, efficiency, and other performance KPIs
    • Align factory plans with company strategy and ensure facilities are prepared for new product introductions
    • Identify and proactively address factory capacity constraints
    • Establish systems and processes that promote continuous improvement through project feedback and forward-looking architectural changes
    • Partner with Company Executives, Program Management, Customer Management, and management-level internal teams
    • Ensure consistent application of factory standards, common KPIs, and shared performance metrics across facilities
    • Lead throughput simulation and development of digital factory models
    • Guide complex engineering projects, define functional requirements, and support deployment of integrated production systems
    • Foster an environment of ownership, accountability, technical excellence, and professional growth
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, strategic planning, or industrial systems development within a high-stakes, high-precision production environment
    • Proven experience leading complex engineering projects, defining functional requirements, or directly managing engineering personnel
    • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Robotics Engineering, or a related technical field
    • Expert-level knowledge of automation, discrete event simulation, Python scripting, material flow planning, and 2D and 3D factory CAD systems
    • Demonstrated ability to manage technical teams and collaborate effectively with executives and cross-functional stakeholders
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Direct experience managing or driving highly automated, high-throughput lights-out manufacturing initiatives in an industrial setting
    • Hands-on familiarity with metal additive manufacturing and the automation challenges associated with powder-bed fusion or advanced post-processing operations
    • Experience developing scalable factory architectures, digital factory models, and integrated production systems
    Compensation:
    • Annual base salary range: \$133,900 to \$184,100
    • Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate\'s skills, qualifications, and experience.
