Massachusetts , Everett Job Description Install Manager - HVAC/R (Commercial & Industrial) A well-established and growing mechanical contractor is seeking an Install Manager to lead and standardize commercial HVAC/R installation operations across multiple large-scale projects. This is a department-level leadership role, focused on field execution, workforce development, safety, and overall installation performance — not day-to-day project management. Key Responsibilities Oversee installation operations across all projects, ensuring consistent execution and quality standards Establish and enforce best practices, installation methods, and sequencing across jobs Lead, mentor, and develop field teams including foremen, installers, and apprentices Monitor labor productivity, manpower planning, and department performance metrics Support Project Managers with staffing, constructability, and field-related challenges Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards Implement training, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications 8+ years of commercial HVAC/R installation experience Proven leadership experience managing field teams and developing talent Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and installation best practices Ability to analyze productivity and improve operational performance OSHA 30 and EPA 608 certification required Relevant state licensing preferred (or equivalent) What's Offered Competitive compensation package Comprehensive benefits Strong, stable company with a consistent backlog of work Clear path into senior leadership roles Long-term career growth with a company that invests in its people Why This Opportunity This role offers the chance to step into a high-impact leadership position, overseeing the install department and driving performance across all projects.
