Manufacturing Engineering Manager Job Description The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a mature and profitable business unit. This position requires strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage resources and ensure team projects meet their goals. The manager will focus on process improvements and mentoring engineers. A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required, and there is potential for growth into leadership positions. Responsibilities Oversee a mature and profitable business unit, focusing on process improvements and mentoring engineers. Lead and develop engineering teams, manage performance, and handle employee relations. Collaborate cross-functionally in a union environment. Manage capital projects, write qualification plans, and use statistical methods to meet timelines and budgets. Drive Lean initiatives such as Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, and 5S to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other quality systems, safety regulations, and risk management for manufacturing processes.
