Opportunity Overview Teradyne's Defense and Aerospace Division is the leading provider of high-performance test systems, subsystems, instruments, and services for the defense and aerospace markets. Our test products are used to ensure the readiness of military and commercial aerospace electronics systems. Seeking an Engineering Project Manager in our Defense and Aerospace Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule, and scope of multiple engineering projects with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems components. The successful candidate must be able to manage change, escalate issues, and take an central role in getting decisions made in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Ability to lead and motivate a team of cross-functional engineers to achieve project goals. Facilitate the creation of project schedules and requirements matrices. Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to execute the plan. Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve objectives. Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives. Drive proactive corrective action where required. Manage scope change control activities, and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors. Synthesize data and present program overview status to stake holders. Identify critical paths and project risks and recommend mitigation paths and plans. Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required The candidate will have a Bachelor degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience. The candidate will possess 5+ years of Technical Project Management and Product Development experience. Association with PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations. Experience influencing and leading without direct authority Excellent organizational and communication skills, including ability to communicate and foster communication between project groups. Initiative-taking, accountable person with strong commitment to meeting personal and team goals as well as professional development. Fully experienced in project management concepts with knowledge in at least one major discipline such as Engineering, Operations, or Marketing. Versatile interpersonal and communications skills with an ability to modify style to a broad range of audiences and situations. Strong expertise in systematic approach to problem-solving. Candidate can present results of data analysis to identify problems and is involved in problem resolution. Effectively utilizes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Scheduling tools. We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Compensation:
 The base salary range for this role is $111,600 - $178,600. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan:
 This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
