Overview The President oversees all aspects of a multi‑site construction materials division, directing strategy, operations, financial performance, and organizational development across asphalt manufacturing, aggregate production, construction services, transportation, and related business lines. This executive plays a central role in shaping long‑term direction, strengthening market position, and ensuring the division operates with excellence in safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. The President leads a high‑performing leadership team, drives continuous improvement, and ensures the division delivers strong results, exceptional customer value, and sustainable growth. Primary ResponsibilitiesStrategic Direction Establish and execute a long‑range business plan that aligns with corporate priorities and positions the division for durable growth. Set clear performance goals and lead annual planning cycles. Collaborate with senior executives to influence enterprise strategy and cross‑functional initiatives. Safety, Environmental, and Compliance Leadership Promote a culture where safety is the foundation of all operational decisions. Ensure systems, training, and accountability structures support industry‑leading safety performance. Oversee environmental compliance and advance sustainability practices across all facilities. Operational Management Lead day‑to‑day operations across aggregates, hot‑mix asphalt, construction services, logistics, and support functions. Improve operational efficiency through process optimization, technology adoption, and disciplined execution. Set operational standards and hold leaders accountable for production, quality, and service outcomes. Ensure effective use of equipment, plants, and resources to maximize output and profitability. Financial Stewardship Own full P&L responsibility for the division, including revenue, margins, cash flow, and capital deployment. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets. Evaluate capital projects using financial and operational criteria such as ROI and IRR. Track key performance indicators and implement corrective actions when needed. Leadership & Talent Development Build and mentor a strong leadership team capable of delivering strategic and operational objectives. Create succession plans and talent pipelines to support long‑term organizational strength. Recruit, retain, and develop high‑caliber employees at all levels. Customer, Community & Stakeholder Engagement Maintain strong relationships with major customers, suppliers, regulators, and community partners. Represent the division as a visible leader within the regions it serves. Strengthen the company's reputation through active engagement with industry groups and local communities. Growth, Integration & Market Expansion Support acquisitions, integrations, and expansion opportunities that enhance the division's capabilities and footprint. Identify operational synergies and competitive advantages across business units. Lead initiatives that improve market share, service offerings, and organizational effectiveness. Industry Representation Participate in industry associations, trade groups, and executive forums. Serve as a senior representative for the company in organizations related to aggregates, asphalt, construction materials, and infrastructure. QualificationsEducation Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. Experience At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in construction materials, mining, heavy civil construction, or related sectors. Demonstrated success managing multi‑site operations with full P&L accountability. Proven ability to deliver strong safety, operational, and financial results. Experience leading organizational change, business growth, and transformation initiatives. Background in mergers, acquisitions, or business integration is highly desirable.
