Engineering Manager - Direct Hire An electronic component manufacturing company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Engineering Department. This role drives the translation of customer requirements into efficient and scalable production. Salary of the
Engineering Manager:
$115-$130k + Bonus + 100% paid for insurance Responsibilities of the
Engineering Manager:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Oversee the development of manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling, and fixture design for CNC and assembly operations. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, supporting DFM, DFA, and product troubleshooting. Partner with the sales team to develop accurate labor and material cost estimates for complex electromechanical RFQs. Lead root cause analysis and CAPA efforts tied to technical production issues. Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process from customer RFQ through full-scale production. Drive process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies. Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to growth, technology roadmaps, and capital investment planning. Qualifications of the
Engineering Manager:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or design engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop teams. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of industry regulations, manufacturing best practices, and quality standards.
