Roadway PM
Our client is a well-established engineering firm seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate brings a Professional Engineer license along with hands-on experience managing roadway and highway design projects. This is an opportunity to lead multi-discipline teams on transportation infrastructure work across the region.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct multi-discipline teams through the full lifecycle of transportation design projects
- Act as the main point of contact between clients, outside agencies, and internal project staff
- Coordinate technical resources and subconsultants across active projects
- Build project budgets, pricing, and proposals for upcoming work
- Create and manage project schedules and overall project plans
- Run client meetings and present project updates
- Conduct quality control reviews on deliverables before submission
- Mentor junior engineers and support broader business development efforts.
Job Requirements
- Job Requirements
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC
- 8 to 12 years of experience preparing roadway, highway, or traffic control plans
- Demonstrated project management background on transportation design work
- Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience mentoring junior staff is a plus
- Prior involvement in proposal development and business development preferred.
