  • Full-time Plant Engineering Manager Coldwater, MI | $100,000 to $135,000 base + 10% bonus + 9% 401(k) match A food manufacturing facility in Coldwater, MI is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead capital project execution, drive operational excellence, and shape the technical direction of the plant.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Plant Manager, with broad visibility across the organization and direct partnership with Corporate Engineering. You will oversee the plant capital plan, manage critical utility systems, and lead engineering strategies focused on safety, quality, sanitation, cost reduction, and service performance. The role carries meaningful scope and genuine advancement potential within a large, established food manufacturing organization. Schedule Full-time, on-site. Relocation assistance is available. Compensation $100,000 to $135,000 base salary, plus 10% annual bonus opportunity and 9% 401(k) match. What You'll Do As Plant Engineering Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of plant technical strategies, with a focus on capital project execution, systems improvement, and operational efficiency. You will drive vertical startup processes that support low-loss production systems and provide solutions to complex technical challenges across the facility. Working in close partnership with Corporate Engineering, you will manage the plant capital plan and provide engineering oversight for critical utility systems. You will serve as a senior technical resource for the plant leadership team, contributing directly to safety, quality, and cost objectives. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify opportunities to enhance plant performance, and support cross-functional teams in executing engineering and infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering 3 or more years of engineering experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as food, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, or chemical Demonstrated capital project management experience involving utilities, wastewater systems, or ammonia systems Preferred Qualifications Experience in food or beverage manufacturing specifically Familiarity with low-loss manufacturing or continuous improvement systems such as TPM or Lean Prior experience in a plant engineering leadership or supervisory role Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and PSM compliance Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with 9% company match Annual bonus opportunity (10% target) Relocation assistance Paid time off (specifics to be confirmed with employer) To apply, submit your resume along with a brief summary of relevant capital project and manufacturing engineering experience.
