Can you map out process flows, system layouts, equipment selections, and quick simulations to validate direction? Will you pinpoint risks and optimization opportunities to enhance performance and cost? Can you ensure every concept aligns with customer requirements, engineering standards, and business targets? Quotations and Costing (Your Superpower) Prepare complete technical sales quotations under the guidance of the Technical Sales Manager. Build cost sheets, analyze cost structures, and determine pricing inputs with rigor. Partner with suppliers to confirm feasibility, secure cost details, and lock in lead times. Deliver accurate, competitive proposals that meet profitability goals. Cross-Functional Collaboration Back the Technical Sales Manager in presentations, technical dialogues, and onsite/remote meetings. Interface with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to clarify requirements and support feasibility discussions. Join cross-functional reviews for concept development, cost validation, and risk assessment. Contribute to technical documentation, proposal packages, and customer-facing materials. Technical Expertise You Bring Hands-on familiarity with turning, grinding, gear hobbing, gear grinding, ECM/PECM, laser processing. Experience integrating robotics and automation with CNC equipment. Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specs, including process steps, tolerances, and critical features. Awareness of new technologies, supplier capabilities, and market competitors. Drive to improve tools, processes, and documentation for the Technical Sales function. Travel Domestic and international travel for customer visits, presentations, and project discussions is part of the role. You'll be a trusted, technically credible partner to customers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (or equivalent experience). 2-5+ years in technical sales, applications engineering, or machinery/system integration. Strong background in machining systems, manufacturing processes, or capital equipment preferred. Clear, concise technical communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
